Over the past two years The Working Centre has hosted a ‘Free’ Suit Sale at St. John’s Kitchen. This has been made possible by Moores Clothing for Men stores and their Annual Suit Drive that they run each summer. Hundreds of suits, dress shirts, dress pants and ties are donated to The Working Centre.
This year we were approached by the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce for clothing donations for women. They hosted their annual Inspiring Women’s Event and asked the 600 people who registered to bring an item of professional clothing as a donation.
On November 6th from 4:00-6:00pm we opened the doors of St. John’s Kitchen to all that were looking for practical and professional clothing. The turnout was fantastic. St. John’s Kitchen was lively and a-buzz as people browsed through the racks and tables of clothing. We were able to giveaway over 700 items of clothing that included suits, dress pants, shirts, blouses, dresses and skirts.
